Engaging in Model United Nations can offer numerous benefits such as developing diplomacy and negotiation skills. enhancing public speaking and communication, strengthening collaboration and leadership skills, and even offering the ability to create a global awareness and understanding. These skills can be used in most careers paths, and even every day activities.
Travel!
Model United Nations gives many opportunities to travel to different schools and attend conferences. This can include traveling to the other coast of the United States or even out of the country. For individuals who are not comfortable traveling far distances, we have our very own training conference, BeachMUN. We also have travel opportunities to competitions in the state of Florida as well!
In addition to weekly meetings and many weekend conferences, the team is involved in many team building activities. We have intramural sports available for all club members, such as beach volleyball and flag football. We often have socials such as a hike through Paines Prairie or a ceramics social at the Reitz Union! For questions regarding these events, please contact our Director of Recruitment and Retention.

Model United Nations is a great way to make friends and get involved on campus. These connections can even expand to other schools around the nation as competitions provide chances to network with like-minded individuals. Furthermore, this club looks great on resumes and has even helped former members gain job or internship opportunities!
